  1. In a bygone era, the adult children remained home to help keep the homestead by doing the heavy lifting as the parents aged. If they left at all, they came back when it was time to take care of the parents when they could no longer care of themselves. This could include extended family who often lived within shouting distance. The youngsters learned discipline and responsibility by watching their parents and older siblings. It worked well with them. But we are far from those generations. However, we can still regain that by learning from their stories and histories.

      1. You are right. There will be a definite divide among the choices. My point is there may still be room for healthy choices.

  2. Interesting. As a young adult still living with my parents, it’s not a frowned upon concept since that’s the expectations in my culture. Kind of like giving background to the parents after all they’ve done for us. But there are pros and cons to it ๐Ÿ‘
